Embed an Audio File with SoundCloud
To embed an audio file, you will need to utilize a sharing service like SoundCloud to host your media files. Once you've uploaded the file to your account, follow the steps below to embed it into your website.
Step 1: Obtain Share Code
- Below the track, click the Share button.
- At the top, choose Embed.
- The default height is 450px. This can be changed by scrolling down and choosing the More Options drop-down. From there, select the appropriate size. (We recommend 300px.)
- Scroll back up and in the Code and Preview box, highlight AND copy all of the code.
Step 2: Embedding Audio File to Site
- Within the editor, place your cursor where you would like the audio to go.
- Type your name in ALL CAPS. This will help us identify where to place the code we just copied.
- Select the 'Source' button.
- Locate your name. Place your cursor directly before the first letter in your name.
- On your keyboard, hold CTRL and hit the V key to paste.
- Select the 'Source' button again to return to the editor. The audio will be represented by an IFRAME box.
- Delete your name.
