Using the Serving Center
The Serving Center is is an excellent tool to display your menu or services online when you do not use e-Commerce. The Serving Center can contain multiple menus to break down products by category and allow you to organize your products in the way you find most convenient.
Create a menu
- Click the + New Menu button from the top right.
- Enter the Menu Name.
- A Unique Menu URL will automatically be created, beginning with “/food/”. You can edit or remove the automatically generated URL and create your own (we recommend using all lowercase letters, no special characters, and replace spaces with "-" or "_") .
- Enter any custom SEO Keywords and Description that you would like to associate with the menu.
- Save Menu.
Create a Menu Section
- Click + New Section.
- Enter the Section Name.
- You can Disable the section entirely if items are coming soon. You can also hide the Section Title if you prefer.
- Save Section.
Create menu items
- Click on the menu section you want the item to appear under.
- In the second column, select + Add Item.
- Next, you will have the choice of how you wish to set the layout: Structured of Free Form.
- Structured will have its own section for pricing and tags. This will be the most commonly used option.
- Free Form will just have a WYSIWYG window without pricing options. This will enable you to set up the product display how you wish.
- Enter the Item Name that the customer will see.
- Enter the Product Description and include any information you wish the customer to see.
- If you used the Free Form option, you can save the item now and disregard the rest of the steps in this section.
- Select + Add a Price Choice…
- Enter the price item name (example: small, red, add option).
- Continue to add price options when applicable.
- Add any appropriate Tags.
- Save the item.
